Join us for a full day Hand Quilting & Cross Stitch Workshop.
Our Initial Bag combines hand quilting and cross-stitch to make a classically gorgeous, completely individual design.
Use your favourite fabric or one of our great kits to make this lovely bag.
Well suited to those looking for a fun day of sewing and socialising, the workshop runs from 10am - 3:30pm.
To complete this workshop you will need:
FQ of fabric for the front - a large scale floral fabric works well
0.35m lining fabric
Fat quarter for backing
Embroidery thread
wadding - measuring at least 15" x 13"
20" zip
All of these items are available in store.
An Initial Bag pattern, Aida cloth & linen is included in the workshop cost.
Emma is a quilt designer and owner of Treehouse Textiles with a Bachelors Degree in Education - Visual Arts. She takes a friendly, measured approach to quilt-making and teaching, with expertise in all aspects of sewing.
Access to sewing machines, rotary cutters, cutting mats, and scissors are included in the cost of the workshop. Workshop participants are welcome to bring any supplies and projects from home.
