Merricks Nth Block of the Month Quilt

Merricks Nth - A NEW Block of the Month Quilt Program by Emma Di Stefano from Treehouse Textiles.

Merricks North is such a special place. It's where my Mum and Dad lived, my children grew up, and where we started Treehouse Textiles, over thirteen years ago. Long-time customers may recall our first two years, where early workshops were set against the backdrop of the idyllic lake and magnificent bush. As the property has now sold and my Mum moves on to a new home, our time as a business and a family at this beautiful property draws to a close, and so it seemed only fitting to commemorate Merricks Nth in the name of my recently completed Block of the Month Quilt. 

The colours in this quilt was inspired by a beautiful Liberty of London fabric 'Dreams of Summer' in blue, pink and green - Merricks Nth is a perfect blend of traditional shapes with modern colours.

The Merricks Nth Quilt is almost a sampler - it was an opportunity to make different blocks and play with rectangular shapes. I had so much fun creating this quilt.

Like every Block of the Month Quilt, the Merricks Nth Quilt requires a range of skills and techniques to keep you interested, such as hand-piecing, english paper piecing, machine sewing and applique.

We estimate that approximately half of the fabric (possibly more) in this program will be original. The rest will be substituted from our store. Rest assured we will provide beautiful, well-matched fabric that will look amazing if not better than the original quilt.

Details:

• The Block of the Month is a 12 month subscription program beginning in early August, 2025
• After you sign up, the payment will be processed on the 1st of each month for 12 months (only 12 payments will go through, this will happen automatically, an email is sent a few days before the processing to remind you that it will be happening).
• The Block of the Month subscription has two options: fabric and paper pattern ($70 per month) posted to your address each month OR PDF Downloadable pattern ($12.50 per month) emailed to you at the beginning of each month.
• All fabric and patterns will be sent via Australia Post and includes tracking details. Please note: postage is not included in subscription cost.
• Hand Piecing and/or machine instructions will be provided where necessary.
• This quilt requires 4.5m of backing fabric and 0.6m of binding. When available, I will sell a limited amount of beautiful blue daisy original backing and planned blue stripe.
• Please be super careful when filling out your details and choose the correct country as this will determine the postage cost.
